Welcome

Welcome to Dirtbags Baseball blog! I was introduced to Long Beach State baseball in 2002 when my nephew, Neil Jamison, joined the team (and university) as a freshman. I started the blog in March of 2004, and generally discuss the team, current players and those that have moved on to professional baseball - as Neil has done in the San Diego Padres organization. Living in San Diego County, and with Neil moving to the next level, I won't be attending as many Dirtbags games. But, mostly from a distance, I'll remain a Dirtbags fan. I welcome tips on stories and information concerning the Dirtbags (current, past and future). I can be contacted at dirtbagsfan@yahoo.com.

Where To Listen To Dirtbags Baseball And The Mike Weathers Show, And Catch Gametracker

The Long Beach State Dirtbags will have an expanded presence on the web, and over the airwaves this season.

All games throughout the season are on the internet (the weekly broadcast schedule and links are here). Many games are also on KWRM 1370AM (their coverage area is described here).

In addition, Dirtbags Head Coach Mike Weathers will have his own one-hour talk show every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. live from Cirivello's Restaurant at 4115 Viking Way in Long Beach. Fans are welcome to attend all season long as the radio voice of Long Beach State baseball, Rob Buska, and Coach Weathers will take your questions and offer giveaways including autographed baseballs, jerseys, tickets and more. The show will air on the internet and on KWRM-1370 AM starting at 7 p.m. The weekly broadcast schedule and links are here.

I'm also really pleased that Long Beach State has also added Gametracker, a great tool for following the game play-by-play online.
